The singer Lina Nyberg and the pianist Lisa Ullén have worked together for several years with this project where they interpret different writers through free improvisation and composition; poetry as well as prose.

LINA NYBERG was born in Stockholm in 1970. She is educated at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. For 30 years, she has worked as a jazz singer and composer touring in Sweden and abroad. Lina Nyberg has made over 20 albums, from the debut with the duo album Close (1993) with pianist Esbjörn Svensson to the latest one Anniverse (Hoob records (2022) with her band, and The World’s a Stage with Bohuslän Big Band (Prophone/Naxos 2023). Lina Nyberg has received a number of awards: Grammis 1995, Sveriges Radio Jazzkatten 2011, the Lars Gullin scholarship 2014, the Gyllene skivan award in 2017 and the Jan Johansson prize 2021. In 2016 she was awarded the Royal Academy of Music’s Grand Jazz Prize and since 2020 Nyberg is also a member of the Royal Academy of Music.
LISA ULLÉN, A native of Seoul, Korea, Lisa Ullén grew up in the northern part of Sweden, and is based in Stockholm. She is a graduate of the Royal Musical Academy in Stockholm, Sweden, where she studied classical piano in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Since the late 1990s, she has devoted herself entirely to improvised music, in the form of free jazz as well as avant garde and contemporary classical and experimental music. A versatile player with a singular musical vision, Ullén has repeatedly proven her ability to imprint her absolute sense for tonal texture on whatever musical context she appears in. Internationally recognized as a distinctive and uncompromising musician and composer, Ullén over the last decade has produced more than fifteen albums.
